A paper is due in the very class you're in 20 minutes ago. You haven't started it. Damn.

My old advertising professor was an old-fashioned guy with old-fashioned policies. Really cool guy, just old. Thus, he had a zero-tolerance late policy for papers... if you didn't have your paper in the stack by class start, he wouldn't accept it.

At that time, I lived 15 minutes away from campus by CAR. Class starts at 9:30 am. I woke up late and only had 10 minutes to drive to class. I needed to turn in a project, which was 10-15% of my grade.

Thus, I drove like a mad man and tried to speed to school. But Murphy's Law applies; as soon as I get out of the driveway, a cop is behind me. I screamed in anger.

I got a 0 on that paper, and failed to make a B (to pass). Also, my professors name was Dr. Murphy. FFFFUUUUUU

I was usually the nerd helping other people with their papers, as well.

I meant a literal nightmare about school in the middle of a break.

i haven't had a nightmare in a long time. I usually have very pleasant or very regular dreams. Never had a "falling" dream before.

I used to ALWAYS have the same dream where I fell off a cliff whenever I fell asleep during class (which was sort of often)
Would always wake up freaking out and knocking things over. Definitely lulzy for everyone.

Well, we covered dreams in Psych 101... didn't really go into it during Social Psych. But apparently dreams of falling are very common. I wonder why; how does the body (or mind) create the sensation of free-falling when most of us have only fallen about... five feet?

Also, you can never "die" in your dreams because your body doesn't understand the sensation of death... apparently.

Ok weirdest dream: I once dreamed that I was being chased by a gorilla who was trying to "gas" me with its pink breath. I was being chased in a 100% accurate rendition of my neighborhood. The gorrilla finally chased me, breathed on me (lol)... and that was that. Forgot what happened afterwards. But seriously, being chased by a gorilla is bloody horrifying.

Lol thats hilarious to picture Chang. A while back it would write down my dreams right when I woke up so that I wouldn't forget them. One time I was the commander of giant intelligent gorrillas (was probably after I watched rise of the planet of the apes) and I had to lead them into battle against an army of dinosaurs. I led them on horseback into the dino army in the middle of a desert somewhere, I still laugh about it to this day.

My dreams usually have zero bearing on my mental stat. My dreams are usually extremely weird, like pig with axes for legs thats upside down or myself suggesting to cut off a healthy infant's legs although I got forgot the part of the dream that would drive me to that reach conclusion.

I once was woken up VERY abruptly while having a really bad nightmare by someone pinching my nose, and then apparently I sprang from my chair and started strangling the person while muttering nonsensically while people dragged me off of him.

I've been having random conscious dreams recently, where your body is asleep, but your mind is awake. You're perfectly aware that you're sleeping, but you can't move or open your eyelids for about 20-30 seconds despite being able to feel your body.

Well, if you're dreaming about something strange, it might be day-residue effect: you usually dream about things that happen to you during the day. Of course there are those random dreams that appear out of nowhere; last night I dreamed about talking to a girl that i've maybe talked once or twice with.

I think I experience something like this every once in a while, except I don't really know that I'm asleep. Instead, I'm having some kind of nightmare (that I can't remember any of) and trying to wake myself up to get out of the situation. It feels like I'm jerking my head or something...hard to explain. I struggle a while with it and eventually I wake up, scary as hell and feels like shit.

I have those too sometimes. Most of the time its the panic ones, but half the time I'll relax and it'll pass and I can move. a few rare times it definite fear, and usually pain. Had one a month ago where I there was a huge pressure on my eye sockets and felt like it was crushing them, and my cheeks felt cold and numb.

Couldn't sleep after that one.

I used to have a lot of nightmares, and I woke up almost every night having this extreme fair kind of feeling. I don't have them anymore, but one time I had a very regular, boring dream, and I woke up completely terrified lol. I stil don't know what was up with that.

Also I dreamed that someone kicked me in the nuts and I actually felt it lol. Not a nice dream I can tell ya.

WTF. Last night I had the most realistic, most mundane dream ever.

I literally dreamed that I went to "mangastream.com" and saw that they released a manga version for the Bleach movie. They've done this for the Naruto series before, it is 100% possible that they could make a manga book (publishers do this all the time). My dream was perfectly accurate: I navigated to the website, clicked and everything. I saw the option to read it, clicked it, and decided that I needed to go to sleep.

That's right, I dreamed that I surfed the internet and decided to sleep, while sleeping.

Sleepsception!

If you're interested in dreaming, you should visit this site: http://www.dreamviews.com (http://www.dreamviews.com/)

The main topic there is how to become lucid in your dreams and how to control them. Once you can do those things you can turn unpleasant dreams into pleasant dreams, and pleasant dreams into even more pleasant ones :D Only worked for me once though, I realised I was dreaming and tried to fly. As I flew higher and higher I forgot I was dreaming lol.

i too have practiced dream control. it is a wonderful thing to acomplish. but hard to do. ive achieved it once or twice. but the ability to make a contious thought or action in an uncontious state is incredible.
