does anyone understand this pre-loading thing? im guessing you dl it early so you don't hog bandwidth?

PC fags are getting more love from EA since they complain the most. So the people who ordered the digital copies instead of hacking it are getting it 4 days early.

They can download it early through Steam, but it does not unlock until 12:00 AM on the 25th. This is standard practice for PC games. The whole idea is to spread out the bandwidth, which makes sense.

As a PS3 player it sucks, but the fact is that BF3 is, first and foremost, a PC game. Dice seems to have done an awesome job of balancing things out for those of us on consoles though.As a developer the PC is so much easier and more rewarding to build for, especially with the consoles now being 5 years old. Think about that for a minute: Imagine trying to play this game on a 5 year old PC without any hardware upgrades. It would not be pretty. I really hope Sony rolls out the PS4 for X-mas 2012. 6 years with the same hardware is a really long time.

Has anyone else found that it is hard to go back to BFBC2, even after playing the beta with its problems. :p

Rocker - most of us can't play BC2. Which really amazes me since I loved it SO much, but I loved the beta that much more I guess!

nice i have off on the 25! WIN! To be quite honest im experiencing no lag on bfbc2 like at all, i'm guessing something they did for bf3? or maybe not as many ppl playing the game. Either way i was on top of the leader board almost everytime and some los guys somehow managed to be on my side as well (unfortunately)

Servers are empty.. I am sure they will be converting them to overflow servers for BF3 here soon.
